So, I’ve been seeing this OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch everywhere lately. You know, the one folks are calling “copyOMEGA”? Yeah, that one. Got me curious, so I started digging around.
First, I hit up the usual spots online, just googled “CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch (open case back) Online Store.”
- Found a bunch of articles and forum posts.
- Learned a thing or two about how to tell if it’s the real deal or not, like checking the warranty card and stuff.
Then I stumbled upon some guide, published on December 26th, 2024, no less, talking about this Moonwatch with the see-through back.
Next, I dove into where to find these watches with the Cal.3861 movement, whatever that is. Seems like a big deal. There were a lot of long artical talking about it.
And the price? Well, let’s just say it ain’t cheap. But I saw some places where you can supposedly get a “copy” for less. Still not sure if it’s worth it, though.
I even watched a video of some guy unboxing one of these Sapphire versions. Looked pretty slick, I gotta admit.
After that, I read up on the whole transparent case back thing. Apparently, it lets you see all the inner workings of the watch. Kinda cool, if you’re into that sort of thing. It made me think about the Omega Speedmaster Reduced, I remembered it was discontinued in 2009.
Summarized my findings, It has got simple and classic design, just like what many articals described. But to get one is not easy, and it’s not cheap.
Anyway, that’s my little adventure into the world of copyOMEGA Moonwatches. Still on the fence about whether to get one or not, but it’s been an interesting ride, for sure.
