Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another crazy shopping story. So, I’ve been eyeing this Fendi Mon Tresor Bucket Bag for a while now. You know, the one that screams luxury without even trying? Yeah, that one. It’s been on my wishlist since it first dropped in like, 2018 or something.
First things first, I started scouring the internet, like a digital treasure hunter. I hit up all the usual suspects, you know, those big-name online stores that sell authentic stuff. Found one place, Fashionphile, they were bragging about having the “largest selection” of used Fendi bags. Prices were alright, I guess, but still a bit steep for a pre-owned piece.
Then I stumbled upon The RealReal. Now, these guys claim to be the “world’s #1 luxury consignment online marketplace.” And they had some pretty sweet deals, like, up to 90% off on some items. I saw a Fendi Mon Tresor there for 40% off, and another for 50% off, which definitely got my attention.
I kept digging, and found this other site, Rebag, selling a “Black Fendi Mon Tresor Bucket Bag” in perforated leather. The pictures looked legit, and they were guaranteeing its authenticity. The price was a bit better than what I saw earlier, so that was a plus.
Now, I’m a stickler for details, so I started looking into what makes a Fendi bag, well, a Fendi bag. Turns out, they’re made in Italy. This particular Mon Tresor I was after is made of brown calfskin, embossed and hand-painted with the FF motif. Fancy, right? And it’s got these gold-finish metal details and two detachable shoulder straps.
I also learned that Fendi, this Italian fashion powerhouse, started way back in 1925. They’re known for their fur stuff, but also for their killer leather goods, and the Mon Tresor is definitely one of them. Their main factory is in Tuscany, a place called Capannuccia, in some old kiln building.
- I learned that you can spot a real Fendi by checking the hardware. It should have “FF” or “FENDI” engraved on it, like, on the clasps and the metal studs.
- Also, real Fendi bags come with paper cards that have the same serial number as the one inside the bag. It’s like a secret code!
After all this research and comparing prices, I finally pulled the trigger. I found the best deal, made sure it was 100% authentic, and clicked that “buy” button. It felt good, man. Like, really good. Now, I just have to wait for it to arrive. Stay tuned for the unboxing!
To be continued…
I’m really excited to share it with you guys, see if my work paid off.
