Ya know, that Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, the one with the N0688 H03168, it’s a real fancy thing. Folks talk about it, they say it’s got some kinda number on the back, somethin’ like N0688 H03168. I ain’t no expert, but I reckon that makes it special, you know? Kinda like havin’ a special mark on your cow, you know which one’s yours.
They tell me this watch, the Royal Oak, it’s a big deal. Got this fancy shape, like one of them stop signs but smoother, and screws all around it. Sounds like a lot of work to make, don’t it? Must cost a pretty penny.
- Shiny and stuff: People say it shines real nice, catches the light. I guess that’s what rich folks like. Me, I like a good sturdy pot that cooks my stew good. But, hey, to each their own.
- Easy to see: They also say it’s got a thing that tells you the date, and the hands glow in the dark. Well, that’s handy, I suppose. No need to squint at it in the dark like I do with my old clock.
Now, they say you can see the insides of some of these watches if they got a clear back. Kinda like peekin’ into a window, I guess. And they say there’s another number in there, engraved on somethin’ called a “mainplate.” Sounds important. But if you gotta take the back off, seems like a bother to me. I’d be worried about losin’ a screw or somethin’. Clumsy hands, ya know?
Folks talk about the price of these watches, sayin’ they can cost more than a whole farm! Can ya believe that? I mean, I got my chickens and my land, that’s worth somethin’. But these watches, they’re small, just sittin’ on your wrist. Must be made of gold or somethin’ special. I hear tell you can find older ones, from way back when, for less money. But still more than I’d ever spend on a watch. I’d rather get a new cow, more milk that way.
And then there’s these “cufflinks” they make, Royal Oak cufflinks. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Little things to hold your sleeves together. I just roll mine up when I’m workin’. But I guess if you’re goin’ to a fancy party, you gotta look nice. Still, cufflinks… seems a bit much.
If you wanna buy one of these Audemars Piguet watches, you gotta go to a special store. They got ’em in stock, they say. But you gotta have the money, of course. And if you lose it, well, that’d be a real shame. Imagine losin’ somethin’ that costs more than a whole farm! I’d be cryin’ in my soup, that’s for sure.
I hear tell they got some watches from a long time ago, from the 1940s, 50s, and 60s. Those are probably real special, antiques they call ’em. Like that old churn I got from my grandma. Works just fine, even though it’s old. Maybe those old watches are like that, still workin’ good after all these years. But still, the price… it makes my head spin.
So, that’s what I know about the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak N0688 H03168. Fancy watch, lots of talk about it, costs a fortune. Me? I’ll stick to my old clock. It tells me the time just fine, and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg.
