I’d be worried about losin’ a screw or somethin’. Clumsy hands, ya know?
Folks talk about the price of these watches, sayin’ they can cost more than a whole farm! Can ya believe that? I mean, I got my chickens and my land, that’s worth somethin’. But these watches, they’re small, just sittin’ on your wrist. Must be made of gold or somethin’ special. I hear tell you can find older ones, from way back when, for less money. But still more than I’d ever spend on a watch. I’d rather get a new cow, more milk that way.

I hear tell they got some watches from a long time ago, from the 1940s, 50s, and 60s. Those are probably real special, antiques they call ’em. Like that old churn I got from my grandma. Works just fine, even though it’s old. Maybe those old watches are like that, still workin’ good after all these years. But still, the price… it makes my head spin.
