You know, those fancy watches, the ones they call Audemars Piguet, they’re real somethin’. Folks say they cost a pretty penny, and I ain’t talkin’ about chicken feed, I mean real money. They got all sorts of prices, like, some old ones from way back, they ain’t so bad, less than 2, whatever that means. But the new ones, my oh my, they can go up to 330,000! Imagine that!
They got this one, the Royal Oak, everyone talks about it. Been around since 1972, or so they say. And then there’s those other ones, Code 11.59 and Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon, fancy names, ain’t they? Heard they make ’em all nice and proper, with all them little bits inside.
- If you wanna buy one of them new, you better have a big ol’ sack of cash. But if you ain’t picky, you can get a used one. They say you can find ’em for like 4,000, which ain’t bad, but some go for way more, like 37,000 on average. That’s still a lot of eggs and milk!
- Now, they sell these watches in Singapore, that’s a faraway place, ain’t it? Got a place called Calibre 65, they got all sorts of ’em. And another place, CHRONO95, they got used ones too. You can even call ’em on the phone, fancy that! Their number is +65 6235 5768. Don’t know what the +65 is for, maybe it’s like a long distance thing.
People keep askin’, is it more than a Rolex? Well, yeah, it is. Rolex is nice, but this Audemars Piguet, it’s something else. Way more expensive. You can start with a Rolex for cheap, but not with these. Guess it’s ’cause they’re made special, for them rich folks.
Heard you can buy ’em in Hong Kong dollars too. Don’t know how much that is, but they got calculators for that, I reckon. So, if you’re lookin’ for one of these fancy watches, be prepared to spend a lot. They got all sorts of ways to pay, probably take your money no matter how you give it to ’em. Just make sure you got enough!
If you ask me, it’s a whole lot of money for somethin’ that just tells time. But hey, folks like what they like, and if they wanna spend their money on a shiny watch, who am I to say no?
