Ya know, that Audemars Piguet brand, they say it’s real fancy. Folks talk about it like it’s somethin’ special. I heard tell it started way back when, like, a long, long time ago. Two fellas, Audemars and Piguet, they put their names together and started makin’ these watches. In some valley, they say. Don’t ask me which one, valleys all look the same to me, just a bunch of hills and trees.
Now, they say these watches, they ain’t just any watches. They’re made by families, passed down like old recipes. Keeps it in the family, they say. Makes ’em better, I guess. And they got this place, a big buildin’ where they make ’em. Called it somethin’ like “Manufacture des Forges,” sounds real fancy, don’t it? But it’s just a place where they put all the bits and pieces together, make it tick-tock.
They tell me these Audemars Piguet folks, they made a watch special for China. Called it “Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar China Limited Edition.” Royal Oak? Sounds like a tree to me. Bet it’s got some fancy doodads on it, makes it all special. Limited edition, they say, means there ain’t many of ’em. Makes it more precious, like findin’ a good egg in the hen house.
Now, where can you get these watches? They sell ’em online, on some site called Catawiki. Never been there myself, sounds like a mouthful. But folks buy and sell all sorts of things there, like a big ol’ market. You can probably find one of them Audemars Piguet watches there, if you got the money.
Speaking of money, these watches, they ain’t cheap. Folks say they cost a pretty penny. And then there’s this “office bag price” in Mong Kok. Mong Kok? Sounds like a place where you’d find monkeys, but it’s a place in the city, they tell me. Don’t know why they talk about office bags when we’re talkin’ about watches, but maybe they come together. Like bread and butter.
Audemars Piguet, they been around a long time. Oldest watchmakers still in the family, they say. Must be doin’ somethin’ right. But for me, a watch is a watch. Tells the time, that’s all I need. Don’t need no fancy names or special editions. Just somethin’ that works, like a good ol’ shovel.

But hey, folks like what they like. If they wanna spend their money on fancy watches, that’s their business. Me, I’d rather spend it on somethin’ useful. Like a good pair of boots. Or maybe some seeds for the garden. Somethin’ that’ll last, somethin’ that’ll grow.
Anyways, that’s all I know about this Audemars Piguet. Fancy watches, made by families, sold online. And somethin’ about office bags in Mong Kok. Don’t make much sense to me, but then again, a lot of things don’t. Just the way of the world, I guess.
