Alright, let’s talk about them Audemars Piglet watches. Fancy name, huh? Sounds like a piglet wearin’ a monocle, if you ask me. But folks say they’re some kinda special. I don’t know much about these fancy things, but I’ll tell ya what I heard.
So, these two fellas, Audemars and Piglet, or somethin’ like that, they started makin’ these watches a long time ago. Way back when, people didn’t have cellphones to tell time, ya see. They needed watches. And these fellas, they made some fancy ones, with all sorts of gears and whatnot. Real complicated stuff.
Now, they tell me some of these watches, they get more expensive over time. Like a good wine, I guess. But not all of ’em, mind you. Only the special ones, the ones that are hard to find or the ones that got some story behind ’em. Like, maybe some king wore it or somethin’. I don’t know, seems silly to me, payin’ more for somethin’ just ’cause it’s old. But what do I know? I still wear my ol’ wind-up clock.

They say these watches, they cost a pretty penny. In dollars, mind you, not chickens. I don’t understand all that money stuff. Back in my day, you traded chickens for what you needed. Now, it’s all about pieces of paper with presidents on ’em. But these watches, they cost a whole lot of those papers.
And they got some kinda list, a price list, they call it. Tells you how much each watch costs. Must be a long list, all those fancy watches. I bet they got pictures too. I wouldn’t mind lookin’ at the pictures, even if I can’t afford one. Pretty things are nice to look at, ain’t they? Like flowers in the spring.
Now, these fellas, they made some special watches way back when. The first watch that could chime the time, like a little bell inside. And a watch you could see right through, all the gears and such. Imagine that! Seein’ all the little bits workin’ together. Must be somethin’ to see.
They keep track of how much these watches cost, over time. Like a price tag that changes. I reckon it’s like the price of eggs, goes up and down. But these watches, they mostly just go up, from what I hear. ‘Cept for the ones nobody wants, I guess. Those probably go down, like a dropped biscuit.
So, that’s all I know about them Audemars Piglet watches. Fancy, expensive, and old. Not for folks like me, that’s for sure. I’ll stick with my trusty ol’ clock. Keeps good time, and it don’t cost an arm and a leg. But hey, if you got the money, go ahead and buy yourself one of them fancy watches. Just don’t ask me to tell you the time on it. I wouldn’t know where to start!
