Well, lemme tell ya about this here Audemars Piguet black ceramic watch, the price, you know? It’s somethin’ else, alright. Folks talkin’ big money for these things, and I’m just sittin’ here scratchin’ my head, wonderin’ what all the fuss is about.
Now, I ain’t no expert, but I hear tell this Audemars fella, or Piglet, whatever his name is, makes some fancy watches. This black ceramic one, it’s all shiny and smooth, like a black river stone polished up real nice. But it ain’t just for lookin’ pretty, no sir. They say it’s tough as nails, won’t scratch easy.
But the price, oh the price! It’s enough to make your eyes water. I heard someone say it costs more than a whole new truck! Can you believe that? A little watch costin’ more than a truck! Makes a body wonder what’s so special about it.

And it keeps time real good, they say. But heck, my old clock on the wall keeps time just fine, and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg.
I heard tell these watches, they don’t lose their value, neither. Some folks buy ’em just to sell ’em later for more money. Like investin’ in land, I guess, only it’s a watch you wear on your wrist.
But here’s the kicker, they don’t make too many of these fancy black ceramic watches. Keeps the price high, see? If everyone had one, wouldn’t be worth so much, I reckon.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ it ain’t a good watch. It’s probably real nice, if you got the money to spend. But for folks like me, it’s just somethin’ to gawk at and wonder about.

Me? I’ll stick with my old wall clock. It tells me when it’s time to make supper and when it’s time to go to bed, and that’s all I need.
