You know, that Audemars Piguet, the watch folks, they started way back in 1881. Long, long time ago. In a little village in Switzerland, called Le Brassus. Never been there, but sounds fancy. Those two fellas, Audemars and Piguet, they made watches before, so they knew their stuff. Audemars, he made those fiddly bits inside the watches for other companies too.
Now, they made this watch, Royal Oak, they call it. Fancy name, eh? People weren’t sure at first. Took ’em a whole year to sell a thousand of ’em. But then, things changed. Now everyone wants ’em. Especially this one they made for China, Perpetual Calendar or somethin’. All yellow and thin. They launched it in 2020, not so long ago.
- Royal Oak – That’s the famous watch. Like, their big hit.
- 1881 – When they started, long before I was born, for sure.
- Le Brassus – The village where it all began. Switzerland.
- China Edition – Special watch for, well, China. All yellow and fancy.
Folks say these Audemars watches hold their price. Guess that’s good if you got money to spend. Something about craftsmanship and legacy. Sounds important. Whether you sell or keep, they say it’s a good investment. But you gotta know what you’re doin’. And take care of it, like anything else.
Now, some folks ask, is it better than Rolex? Well, Rolex, that’s sturdy, reliable. My neighbor’s got one. Keeps tickin’ no matter what. But Audemars, that’s somethin’ else. Hand-crafted, they say. Like a piece of art. So, which is better? Depends on what you want, I reckon. If you want fancy, go with Audemars. If you want sturdy, go with Rolex.
They don’t make too many of these Audemars watches. That’s why they cost so much. Supply and demand, you know. If there ain’t many, folks will pay more to get one. Smart fellas, those Audemars people. Know how to make money.
Now, about that office bag price in Causeway Bay. Don’t know much about bags. Probably costs a pretty penny, if it’s from Audemars Piguet. Everything they make is expensive, I hear. But if you got the money, why not? Treat yourself, I say. Life’s too short for cheap stuff.
So there you have it. A bit about Audemars Piguet. Long history, fancy watches, and probably fancy bags too. More than I’ll ever be able to afford, but nice to dream, ain’t it?
