Ya know, these fancy watch folks, Audemars Piguet, they been around a spell. Started way back, they say 1875, over in some place called Switzerland. Two fellas, Audemars and Piguet, they got together, like how folks do when they wanna start somethin’.
Now, I ain’t one for them fancy things, but I hear tell they make some real nice watches. Real nice. Like, the kind rich folks wear. They say they make everything themselves, right there in their own place. Ain’t buyin’ parts from nobody else. Guess that’s why they so special.

Heard they got this watch called the Royal Oak. Sounds like a tree, don’t it? But it ain’t. It’s a watch, a fancy one. Been makin’ it since the 70s, they say. Only made one kind at first, then they started makin’ all sorts. People seem to like ’em, these Royal Oaks.
They got other watches too, lots of ’em. Names I can’t even say right. But they all fancy, I reckon. Made with gold and diamonds and such. Must cost a pretty penny.
They say Audemars Piguet, they still owned by the same family. Ain’t that somethin’? Most folks sell out to big companies, but these folks kept it in the family. Guess they do things different over there in Switzerland.
And they made the first watch that could chime the minutes, way back when. Imagine that, a watch that could sing ya the time! Must’ve been somethin’ to see.
Now, they didn’t come over to America right away. Took ’em a while, I think. But folks over here, they like the fancy stuff too. So Audemars Piguet, they started sellin’ their watches here. When exactly? Don’t rightly know. But they here now, sellin’ them watches to folks with money.
Folks say Rolex is better known, but Audemars Piguet, they been around longer. Guess it ain’t always about bein’ the most famous, eh? Sometimes, it’s about doin’ things your own way, like them fellas Audemars and Piguet.
So, if you got the money and you want a fancy watch, Audemars Piguet might be the one for you. They been at it a long time, makin’ them watches over there in Switzerland. Must be doin’ somethin’ right, I reckon.
