Ya know, these watches, they got a long story. Started way back, these two fellas, Audemars and Piguet, they got together. Happened in some valley, Joux, they call it. Long time ago, 1875, I heard. That’s like, forever ago!
They started makin’ watches, fancy ones. In a village, Le Brassus. Got a building there, old thing, built in 1868. That’s where they set up shop, them two fellas.
Folks like these watches, they call ’em Audemars Piguet. But now, they just say “AP”. Short and sweet, I guess. Officially started their company in 1881, that’s what I heard.

Heard they makin’ special watches for China now. Anniversary somethin’, they say. Don’t know much about it, just heard folks talkin’. Fancy stuff, for rich people, I reckon.
They got this one watch, real famous, they say. Royal Oak, they call it. Been around a long time, 50 years or somethin’. Folks love it, collectors and such. Guess it’s a big deal.
This Royal Oak, it’s got a history. Some fella named Genta, he designed it. Must be a smart fella, makin’ somethin’ folks like so much. Been 50 years, still popular. That’s somethin’, ain’t it?
This company, Audemars Piguet, it’s old. Almost 150 years, they say. That’s a long time for makin’ watches. Must be doin’ somethin’ right, lastin’ that long.
They got all these different parts in them watches, calibers they call ’em. 2020 somethin’, I heard. Complicated stuff, I tell ya. Don’t understand it myself, but folks who know watches, they like it.
China, they like these watches too. That’s why they makin’ special ones for ’em, anniversary edition. Must be a big deal, celebratin’ all them years. Good for them, I guess.
So, Audemars Piguet, started by two fellas, makin’ fancy watches. Still goin’ strong after all these years. Celebratin’ anniversaries, makin’ watches for China. That’s the story, as I heard it.
