A new promotional video for the upcoming show Yuri On Ice by studio MAPPA has been uploaded to Youtube and the official website. It has a lot less movement and beauty to it compared to the first PV, but instead focuses on introducing 8 additional voice actors and characters from all around the world to the cast.

The new characters in Yuri on Ice are:

Ortabek Artin from Kasachstan, voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya (Free! Eternal Summer‘s Sosuke Yamazaki, Attack On Titan‘s Reiner Braun)

Chi Guanhong from China, voiced by Yutaro Honjo (Eureka Seven AO‘s Ao Fukai, Psychic School Wars‘ Kenji Seki)

Kristoff Giacometti from Switzerland, voiced by Hiroki Yatsumoto (Bleach‘s Sado Yasutora, Hetalia‘s Germany)

Yuri On Ice

Jean-Jacques Leroy from Canada, voiced by Mamoru Miyano (Ouran High School Host Club‘s Tamaki Suou, Star Driver: Takuto Of The Radiance‘s Takuto Tsunashi)

Yuri On Ice

Phichit Chulanont from Thailand, voiced by Kensho Ono (Kuroko’s Basketball‘s Tetsuya Kuroko, Aldnoah Zero‘s Slayne Troyard)

Yuri On Ice

Michelle Crispino from Italy, voiced by Tomoaki Maeno (Death Parade‘s Decim, Yowamushi Pedal‘s Juichi Fukutomi)

Yuri On Ice

Kenjiro Minami from Japan, voiced by Ayumu Murase (Gatchaman Crowds‘ Rui Ninomiya, Haikyuu‘s Shoyo Hinata)

Yuri On Ice

Lee Seung-gil from Korea, voiced by Kenji Nojima (Psycho-Pass‘ Nobuchika Ginoza, Sailor Moon Crystal‘s Tuxedo Kamen)

The PV doesn’t show any of the new voice actors talking, so their performance in their roles are yet unknown. Many of them are very famous, but rarely do we see characters from countries all over the world. Will they all speak perfect japanese or have different accents to represent their nationality?

I am definitely excited for the series, with Mamoru Miyano and Yoshimasa Hosoya being welcomed additions to any cast. I also appreciate Hiroki Yatsumoto‘s experience as Germany in Hetalia.

Are you excited for Yuri!!! On Ice? Which of the voice actors do you look forward to hearing the most?
