After last week’s quite eventful yet very mixed week in terms of Idol News, it doesn’t surprise me that this week was very slow in terms of interesting or exciting idol news the this weeks idol recap.

DEATH CASH releases promotional video

To start of this week’s idol news recap, TBS posted on July 4th, 2016 a new 3-minute long promotional which gives us so far the longest look at the upcoming horror drama DEATH CASH (死幣). The video showcases what I assume is the the beginning of the drama as well as showcasing future events in the drama and while it does look interesting still, I’m not too excited for this drama.

The synopsis for DEATH CASH states:

A number of strange deaths are connected to an urban legend, that there exists a cursed 10,000 yen bill, and whoever spends that 10,000 yen bill would die. SKE48 member Matsui Jurina plays university student Minami Yuka who can foresee the death of other people, and she will team-up with police detective (played by Totsugi Shigeyuki) to solve the mysterious “DEATH CASH” case.

DEATH CASH (死幣) will begin airing on July 13th, 2016.

NMB48 releases new short MVs!

In more Music Video Idol News, NMB48 posted 2 short version Music Videos to their official YouTube Channel on July 6th, 2016 for their new songs! The first is being the Music Video for their upcoming 15th single Boku wa Inai(僕はいない) which will act as Watanabe Miyuki‘s Graduation single as is very evident to see in the video considering Watanabe‘s the center figure of the video.

The second Music Video is for the common coupling song(meaning it’s included in all versions of the single) for the 15th single titled Ima Naraba(今ならば) which roughly translates to If now and is a duet song performed by Watanabe Miyuki Yamamoto Sayaka. Additionally, Yamamoto wrote the song with Akimoto Yasushi providing the lyrics. It should however be noted that the actual Music Video will only be included in the Type-D release of the single.

I don’t know about you guys, but I cried some tears while watching both of these Music Videos… Boku wa Inai will be released on August 3rd, 2016.

Watanabe Miyuki‘s last stage LIVE has a date.

Watanabe Miyuki at her Graduation Concert.

CROW’S BLOOD will be a 6-episode mini-series with Executive Producer Darren Lynn Bousman at the helm who’s most well known for being the director of the American horror film SAW II. The drama will star Watanabe Mayu Miyawaki Sakura and will be available on Hulu Japan on July 23rd, 2016.

Idol Recap

The most interesting thing is that there aren’t any Limited Editions for this single’s release. Though collector’s will probably rejoice considering it’s less money they’ll need to dish out to get all different covers for the single.

Like I said at the beginning, this week was very slow in terms of interesting or exciting idol news. Honestly nothing really stood out to me outside of the Music Videos that were released this week as well as the covers for NMB‘s new single but who knows, maybe I missed some major idol news that just flew right over my radar. Let me know down below!
